THE GUARANTEE COMPANY OF NORTH AMERICA USA

We are very pleased to announce that Jeffrey Jubera has joined The Guarantee Company of North America USA as our Vice President - Claims, effective November 21, 2011. Jeff will be located in the Southfield, Michigan Home Office and will be joined by his family in Metro Detroit at the end of the school year.

Jeff comes to us from Great American Bond in Baltimore, Maryland where he was most recently a Bond Claim Director handling large, complex Contract Surety claims. Previously, Jeff was employed with St. Paul Fire & Marine Surety where he managed a staff of bond claim attorneys and support personnel. While at St. Paul, he worked on several high profile contractor defaults. Jeff started in the surety industry as an attorney in private practice in Baltimore. Prior to graduating from law school, Jeff was in law enforcement as a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms and an intelligence research analyst with the US Customs Service.

Jeff is originally from the Detroit area and he holds a BA in Criminal Justice/Political Science and an MS in Public Administration/Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. He also earned a JD from the University of Baltimore where he graduated Magnum Cum Laude and was a member of the University of Baltimore Law Review.
